- 2 slices white bloomer bread
- Large knob softened butter
- 50g crumbled Stilton cheese
- 1 spring onion, sliced
- 1–2 tbsp cranberry jelly
Instructions
- Prepare the bread: Butter both slices of the white bloomer bread generously, ensuring the buttered side will be on the outside when assembled.
- Assemble the sandwich: On the unbuttered side of one slice, evenly spread the crumbled Stilton cheese, sprinkle the sliced spring onion over it, and add a layer of cranberry jelly according to taste.
- Form the sandwich: Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing outwards, forming a sandwich.
- Cook the toastie: Heat a non-stick griddle pan or frying pan over low to medium heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and cook gently for 3-4 minutes on one side, allowing the cheese to begin melting and the bread to turn golden brown and crunchy.
- Flip and cook: Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes under gentle heat until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is equally crispy and golden.
- Serve warm: Remove from the pan, slice if desired, and serve immediately while warm and melty.
