Ingredients
Scale
Fruits
- 2–3 Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
Dairy & Sweetener
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
Add-ins (Optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped almonds
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
Instructions
- Prepare Apples: Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Slice them into thin rounds about 1/4 inch thick and carefully remove the seeds from each slice. You should get around 8 to 10 slices per apple.
- Make Yogurt Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of plain Greek yogurt with 2 to 3 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and evenly sweetened. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
- Assemble the Bark: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the apple slices in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap. Spoon the prepared yogurt mixture generously over each apple slice, covering them completely.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle fresh berries—blueberries, sliced strawberries, and raspberries—over the yogurt-covered apple slices. If using, add chopped almonds, walnuts, and chia seeds to add texture and extra nutrition.
- Freeze: Carefully transfer the baking sheet to the freezer. Allow the apple slice bark to freeze for at least 2 to 3 hours, or until the yogurt topping is fully solidified.
- Serve: When ready, remove the baking sheet from the freezer. Gently peel the apple slices away from the parchment paper and break them into bite-sized pieces. Serve immediately or store in a sealed container in the freezer for later enjoyment.
Notes
- You can substitute honey with maple syrup for a vegan option.
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a nice contrast with the sweet yogurt topping.
- For a nut-free version, simply omit the almonds and walnuts.
- This snack is best enjoyed fresh from the freezer as the yogurt softens quickly at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
